Onsite Visit
All of our free estimates require an onsite visit from one of our qualified technicians. Our goal is to understand any issues you may be having with the current system, such as hot/cold spots, as well as any other goals you may have for your new system, such as reducing energy consumption. We'll walk through your property with you to look at any specific areas of concern and to identify and show you any opportunities for improved comfort and efficiency. This includes inspecting your ductwork, which plays a critical role in your system's overall performance.

Equipment Options
Once we understand your property and your goals, we will customize replacement options to fit them. We'll discuss your options to help you select the one that will work best for you. We will match your needs and budget with the right system and help you get the most out of it by installing it properly. We work hard to earn and keep customers' trust, which means we'll only recommend work that's in your best interest. If you don't need a repair or replacement, we're not going to try to convince you that you do.

So how are you supposed to know when it's time to replace your heat pump?
Your heat pump is more than 15 years old
Heat pumps last roughly 15 years but may start showing its age after just 10 years. It really depends on your unit, its efficiency and how well you've kept up with maintenance.
Your heat pump uses R-22 Freon
The production of Freon was phased out by the federal government on January 1, 2020. This popular HCFC-22 (R-22) refrigerant can still be added to your heat pump when needed but it is very costly. This cost of Freon along with the cost of repairs should help you make your decision. If your heat pump uses Freon, you'll have to replace it eventually in order to switch over to the current R410A refrigerant.
You notice your heat pump is inefficient
If your heat pump has a low SEER rating, it can cost you a lot of money to operate. Currently, newly manufactured heat pumps must have a SEER rating of at least 13. If your heat pump's SEER rating is below 13, you can cut back on your energy costs by replacing it with a new, more efficient unit. A new high-efficiency system can help you save up to 40% on heating and cooling costs. Have a technician help you make that determination.
You're facing expensive repairs
Any time you're facing an expensive heat pump repair, you'll want to weigh the costs of the repair against the cost of a new unit. If the cost of the repair would cover a large part of a new system, and especially if your heat pump is showing any of the other signs on this list, it will likely make more financial sense to replace it.
